Best of luck!  Last year we had three of the any bull tags for rifle and ended up with the only bull we saw!  Great area!

I drew with 3 points (Early Archery) and could not believe it. 1st choice was Cowiche. Do you know of any places to avoid in the Bethel unit? We hunt Rimrock and have never had a problem but did run into a sketchy camp once we got a little closer to the Bethel ridge and then heard a bunch of shots.. turned them in to game mgmt but never heard anything.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Gun fire in the woods let's call the cops! Really!!!!

I'm used to gun fire but not 2-3 semiautomatic weapons in an area that's actively hunted in the early season. But that's not the reason we called. We walked through their camp and they had glass pipes laying around... trash everywhere, broken beer bottles. It makes me sick that people are that irresponsible and the reason I worry taking my son with me.

Any valuable information out there? I've heard this forum is actually pretty valuable.

I would be on the roads at night, looking and listening for elk, then hunt them that morning after you have located them. Its real hot in september and the elk are active at night.  Thats my experience at least.

When i got drawn a few years back there was over 1,000 *censored*in domestic sheep with sheep dogs running wild and trying to bite your tires lol... oh and u have to wait a good 15 minutes when your in ur truck driving because you drive into a wall of sheep and then you try to back up and u realize they are behind you as well.. welp then your stuck haha :bash:
Talked to the game department and they were like those sheep were suppose to be gone weeks ago.... Well they are still here idiots  :chuckle:
