Good tag, congrats to your dad.

Me neither! Hopefully he gets a nice mature buck.  This would be his first mule deer if everything goes to plan.  Does any past tag holders know if the rendezvous wildlife area gets the most pressure for that hunt?  We would rather be around less hunters in order to make it a true quality hunt.

It's a big area with a lot of nice ground and animals that time of year. No reason that you should have to see a single orange vest the whole time if you didn't want to.

I have a buddy that drew this tag as well, and I guarantee we will be where no one else is.

Rendezvous gets hammered during the general season but I would bet it would be a good spot to be if your gonna be there for the late season opener. At least hit it in the morning, if nothing there take off. Chewuch is a big area with lots of hunting ground.

Had the tag last year, not the giant I hoped for but satisfied.
make sure you have a bear tag also
I shot my on the east side of the unit
best deer I saw was on private ground though
good luck
