« on: December 01, 2008, 09:16:16 PM »
My 1st post to this site. Tons of good reading. I'm heading out to GMU 130-142 next week for the MH doe hunt. any tips on public land? Good WT spots? This will be my first time hunting WT deer in WA. your recommendations are appreciated.

Mostly private land from what I've seen.  A lot of the farmers appreciate it if you use close range weapons if you are hunting close to their house, barn, ect...but take the rifle for those long shots.

You may want to find out about the paper company property and go in there with a quad or bike.

There were a lot of does during modern this year.

Good luck and Knock'em Dead

You shouldn't have any trouble finding a doe in thoses units. My home range is 139 and 142. Knock on a few doors and you should find access pretty easy. You can always check the Go Hunt link at the WDFW web sight and find the feel free to hunt and Written permition only land. Also call the game dept in the area you are headed.
