Hey fellow hunters, I am lookingnfor a possible heads up in the right direction. I have hunted the east side several times but this will be my first time hunting southern/west side. We are heading up for archery season. Looking to put in some work and put boots to tje ground. Not affraid to go where most men wont. Any info will help. Thanks guys

Do you have any units you are planning on checking out? Some of the units require access permits so that is something you should look into.

I was teading on the  long island, bear creek, packwood possible mossy rock..I know there is alot of hunters around just have to get away from them. I guess I am pretty much throwing a frisbee in to the dark. As for acess permits, where and who do u get these from? Thanks for the replies

I'm not really an expert on the timber company permits (since I've never actually gotten one). I believe the process involves logging onto the Weyerhaeuser website. When the sale opens you have to hit refresh repeatedly because the screen will appear frozen. After doing this for 15 minutes you find out they all sold out and you need to plan on hunting somewhere else for the rest of your hunting career.

The good news is I do not believe any of the areas you mention currently require permits to access. Get down there and check it out- best you can do imo.
Charlie Kirk didn't speak hate, they hated what he said. Don't get it twisted.

:chuckle:

A St. Helens tree farm permit for $150 will give you access to the Winston and Coweeman units.

There are 14,000 permits still available so no need to rush.

Is the timber company land east of packwood charging access also?
