New Hammer type Muzzleloader
« on: June 23, 2014, 10:27:55 AM »
A quick question about the newer hammer type muzzleloader. ie CVA Optima V2
How audible is the clink when you go to shoot?
My old Hawken is loud when I pull the hammer and have spooked animals with the click.

If you pull the trigger back on that hawken, pull the hammer back, then release the trigger, now let off of the hammer slowly.  it won't make a sound.  Make sure the gun is pointed in a safe direction when doing this.

We call that the "sneaky cock".
