Looking for a wildlife foundation to donate to.

Hi,
A very close friends of mines Dad(Tony Rees) passed away on Thanksgiving after a battle with liver cancer.
He was an avid hunter of all species.
The family is looking for a foundation for wildlife (in Washington??) that donations can be made instead of flowers.

Any ideas and contact or address info would be great!

There is a Mule Deer foundation, Ducks Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation... 

Why don't you give the donation to the equivelant Make a Wish Foundation but for kids who want to go hunting.   Make a wish does not support hunting.

Due to some recent posts about RMEF and the tribes, I would not donate to them. Try to find something "more" local.

Catch-A-Dream grants once-in-a-lifetime outdoor experiences to children 18 years old or younger who have a life-threatening illness.

Catch-A-Dream's singular purpose is to provide consumptive use outdoor experiences to fill the “gap” created when the Make-A-Wish Foundation established national policy that precludes granting a child a wish that involves hunting or use of “...firearms, hunting bows, or other hunting or sport-shooting equipment.”

How to donate-

Making dreams come true requires many partners. Partners can support Catch-A-Dream in many ways, through monetary contributions, in-kind contributions (services or goods), by volunteering or by purchasing products from companies that donate a portion of their sales to us.

You may want to attend a local fund-raising event conducted by friends of Catch-A-Dream in many communities, or purchase products from vendors that contribute portions of the proceeds to us, like our friends at Hobie J BBQ.


Or you may simply want to make a monetary contribution, which is fully tax deductible.

Catch-A-Dream will send a letter acknowledging the nature of your gift, along with a receipt for cash gifts.

For memorial/honorary gifts, we will also send a letter to the individual(s) that you designate to receive notice (Please provide an address).

Catch-A-Dream's Donor Recognition Program has Donor Recognition Levels for gifts of every size.

I sent her a link to the Catch a dream. I personally think it is very fitting. Her Dad's brothers, nephews and his son in law came together one time to work together and get him out duck hunting, while he was ill.
I also sent her a link to the Washington chapter for the Mule deer foundation.
Keep the ideas pouring but, I love the Catch a Dream!
