Westport This Week End
« on: July 06, 2014, 10:29:26 AM »
Going to get things loaded up in the boat today and tomorrow for the first run to Westport. We're going for broke on the fish. Salmon, Bass, Ling, cabozone, and crab. Hoping to fish Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I hope I have enough ice in the cooler

I fished Thursday - Sunday. It was crazy good. I have never seen the king fishing that good. We got 3 over 30 lbs.

Good luck! I hear the fish are just hitting Sekiu with some good numbers.  We were in Neah Bay the last weekend of June and the Ocean fishing was good down south.
Wishing I was fishing...or in Wyoming

You should sakem up! We fished over the weekend and smoking hot bite for us. If you can make a herring spin anyone can catch fish out there now.

Hunternan, it sounds like you fish Westport a lot. My parents have a summer house there. Hopefully I can make it down there in the next couple weeks.

Sunday was the last day I fished. We concentrated most of our time off the casino.  40 -  50' of water for kings. Had to run 100 -  120 for silvers.

I grew up fishing the coast commercially from 1964 thru 1975. Since I've been married we make a few trips down to Westport or Ilwaco every summer. Buckhorn2 and I try to deplete the fish population every chance we get
