I only got 2 pics of this guy, from what I can see its a Wolverine. If you think it could be something else let me know. It has the exact markings of one.
Estimate the weight at about 35#s. I lived in Canada from '65 til '70 and actually killed one up above Thunder Bay in '69. No mistaking that this is the "little bear". Ignore the suggestion to run from one as they are natures answer to those who don't believe in a perpetual motion machine. Wolverines will ignore you unless you are dipped in bacon grease or smell like you're dead. I shot mine because he was tearing up a boy scout camp that was offering a bounty of $100 that me and 3 buddies staked out. I was the lucky one to see him first. I shot him with my 7mm Spanish mauser at 70 yrds with a 175 gr solid , in the chest and he still ran almost 100 yrds. He weighted 55#S and smelled like a skunk. I was up in Churchhill a few months after that where I encounter a guy with a face that looked like he'd went though a windshield. I tried to not make eye contact with him, as I'd been schooled to not make those with physical disfigurements uncomfortable by staring. He said to me "I killed a wolverine with a hand ax". I replied: I believe you.  :yike:

Cant imagine any good coming from them knowing.  Maybe no harm, but what good would you expect?

Funny thing is I was just this morning looking at an old SD of mine from about 5 years in the high country and realized I had two shots of a wolverine on the card that I hadn't realized I had.  Very cool.
