So, I was in town yesterday (2.5 hrs. away) and decided that I would swing by sportsmans to see if just by chance the Ulite I ordered 2 weeks ago might be laying around there and maybe somebody forgot to call me to let me know it came in.......
Well, interesting enough I walk to the rack and amazingly notice that there is a green Ulite just like I have been waiting for standing there. The whole reason I ordered one was because my store didn't stock one.

So, I politely asked about it and nope didn't have my name or order number attached to it anywhere. Hmmm.
Well, I asked to handle it a little and soon found out the short LOP is as I feared going to be an issue with me. I assume Knight made them short expecting to accomidate heavy winter clothing and all but here in Oregon Elk Muzzy is generally HOT or Mild in Oct.
There was a couple other Knights on the rack. Had a Disc. Ext. MDEW706TTT. (not sure what all those letters mean as I couldn't find the exact model number on the Knight sight). If anyone could shed some light on that It would be great. I have Never had a TH stock before but it felt OK could probably adapt quite easily. The LOP @ 14.25" was way more comfortable and it just felt good to shoulder. It was $50.00 off and the guys told me it was the last one with no more on the way to restock. I wondered if they are discontinuing this model?
Anyway, had my heart set on the Ulite for some time now but I know better than to jump into a ill fitting gun.
I know the Disc Ext. has been a good gun from all the posts I have read through on here and other forums. I guess what I am wondering is besides the obvious weight reduction from the Aluminum bedded Kevlar stock and the shorter barrel.....The Guns seem to be about the same. Are the actions the same? They sure look like it in the hand. No jeweling on the western Disc bolt but all else looks the same. Got the good Barrel on it too.
Throw me some Dis. Extreme feedback out there. Quite a bit less $ on closeout than the Ulite.
Thank's.
