July bone
« on: July 25, 2014, 04:23:09 PM »
Was out scouting a deer spot and decided to take a detour on an open slope on the way back to the rig. I got up close to the top and decided to glass the adjacent ridge for critters while my pup ran around. When I finished I looked up to see her fumbling with something. Threw up the binos to see her trying to drag an elk shed down the ridge toward me! Her first unassisted find.. One proud dad right here lol... and and a pic of my daughter with the shed.

That's awesome!
I confess, as I was scrolling down, expecting next to see your daughter with the shed - and then I saw her, in the sunshine with her pack on and t-shirt and ballcap - my first thought was "Oh dear Lord, bless her heart ...".  Then I scrolled past to see another photo, a lovely young lady with the antler.  Phew!
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
