Any guesses what made this? About 5 feet high. Put my head lamp up for a little scale. Similar scrapes all over near a little spring up in the Manastash.

Probably a deer rubbing its antlers on the tree. Or a bear scratching its claws on the tree but it doesn't really look like a bear.
