Damn Gas Tank
« on: August 04, 2014, 03:01:15 PM »
My last trip to Westport I was out about 8 miles, and my motor started acting like it was running out of gas. This was after I changes tanks to a full one. Well after we got home, I did some work on the gas lines, new connections on both the motor, and the one of the tank. The old tank connection wasn't making a full connection (New connectors on all 4 tanks). Took the boat out to the lake and ran the dog pucky out of it. The right side ran like brand new, but the left side still ran bad. Today we go back out with a new primer bulb, and another new connection on the motor end of the gas line. No difference. Thinking the problem was in the gas line, I took the right side tank (both 6 gal.) and traded it with the left side. Now with the left side tank on the right side, we took off, and now the right side started to act up, and the left side ran great. BAD TANK :bash: Problem solved  :IBCOOL:  And to top it all off my new hip boot LEAK  :bash:

Becky is going to take it back tomorrow along with the hip boots. This boat is going to run like a 40 pound king with a hook in his mouth  :yike:
