Green Dot Powder?
« on: August 05, 2014, 01:35:06 PM »

Howdy,

Perhaps this has been asked already and if so- I apologize.  As I am starting to shoot more trap lately I thought it would be neat to lean how to reload shotgun shells.  I have my Lee Reloader all set up but everywhere seems to be out of Green Dot powder.... are you guys finding the same thing?

Does anyone know where I could purchase some in the PugetTropolis area?

Thanks!

- Jg

All shotgun powder is in short supply, right now.  I was lucky and found 8#'s of Greendot but I found it in Duluth, MN it had just arrived and wasn't even on the shelf.  He said if I'd shown up an hour later it would have been gone .  The best you can do now is check Gunbot and all the internet suppliers and put in a back order for the powder you want.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Thanks for the tip on GunBot AWS!  That looks like a cool site... as a computer geek myself I can appreciate that guy's handiwork.

Hope u have a great season!

I've not seen any green dot for over two years. Also look for red dot, clay dot, 700X they shoot about the same. I've been finding Winchester Super Handicap at Sportsman's sometimes. I've got 1K loaded for the few months, now I'm out of shot and I just don't like spending $50 for 25 pounds. Finished off my last bag of #8's that I purchased 3 years ago when I got a tone back then it was $12.50 a bag.

Someone had a couple unopened containers of 700X for sale on Spokane gun trader earlier today, if that's of any help to you.

Thanks for the tips wadu1 and b23... will keep my ear to the ground.  This short supply of reloading supplies sucks.

Try Best Buy Shooting Supply, and see what shotgun powder they have. Sometimes White Elephant or Black Sheep has at least the 1 lb cans of something you can use. Get what you can get right now.
