« on: August 01, 2014, 09:10:04 PM »
Hey guys I'm going on a hunting trip in the frank church wilderness in Idaho this year and after spending a lot of money on all thee appropriate gear I'm still short a wall tent. I'm looking to borrow or rent one from someone. I know this is a lot to ask for but I'm in desperate need of one. If anyone has one or knows someone tgat has one that would allow me to ise it please send me a pm, thanks al!!

Most wall tent owners would sooner loan you their wife than their tent. :chuckle: :sry:

I would recomend spike hunting above the landing strip a ways. Take a pup tent and go in 5+ miles, otherwise you will be competing with quite a few landing strip area hunters. Just my  :twocents:

i realize its that its a lot to ask for. and i did say that but desperate times call for desperate measures. as far as getting off the strip. we are going to be spiking in but we want a base camp at the strip for gear, coolers, extra food, ect. plus were going to be there for 7 days and to be honest i dont think i could pack 7 days gear around the mountains up there. so all in all i need a wall tent for base camp. anyone that can help id appriciate it. thanks

U might think about a canopy carport saw one on eBay 10/20 ft top and sides included for a little over $100 not a bad way to go. U would have to do some  engineering to add a wood stove. And Inclose the end. Probably have to cut the  vertical posts so they are 2 pieces for packing

Not sure how much you can spend, but a guy had a nice one for sale on the coweeman unit hunters Facebook page.  I think he was wanting $650, and it came with a stove
