Heads Up. New Elknut DVDs are On the Way!
« on: August 07, 2014, 08:32:17 AM »
After a loooong wait, Elknut is finally releasing three brand spanking new DVDs!  They are completed and are in the final editing stages.  Paul said this final process won't take long and the DVDs will most likely will be available on Monday! The first DVD will be ready for sure (this is the one on Advertising & Breeding Sequences); just in time for Elk Season!  The other two will be available right near then as well.  When available you will see them on the website in the Elknut store.  They've been a long time in the making but these new DVDs are now done!  For those who have not experienced Elknut's original DVDs, those things were game changers for many, many elk hunters.  Can't wait to see the new ones.  RJ

Some here may wonder what an Advertising Sequence might be? Others may wonder what a Breeding Sequence may be?  Too, how can they help my elk hunts? Well I'm glad you asked! (grin)

These sequences are a Specialty of ours, we are sharing them for the 1st time! We have called in countless elk with these, mostly bulls! That's the cool thing with both these sequences is that they we have a much higher ratio of drawing bulls in over cows & spikes! These sequences are very deadly on both Quiet elk or Bugling elk. You just need to tailor it to the days hunt & the mood the elk are in. We explain this & show you in the woods how we actually perform these sounds in a calling environment. Paul II is one heck of an elk caller, he's probably called more elk in on Public Land than any one individual I know, his sounds are simply amazing & believable you have to hear him go through his routine. He calls a lot of bulls in with these two techniques & I've called a few in myself! (grin) We're not World Champion elk callers here & don't care to be but the sounds we imitate are right on par with elk that are either Advertising themselves or in the middle of doing their best to control their cows in estrus before they are ready to be bred! This flat attracts elk!

Knowing when a bull advertises himself & why is truly important in this technique. This is not just a couple bugles tossed out there hoping for the best, it's high energy calling & setups.

Breeding Sequences are special! What this portrays is a cow is coming into estrus & HER Bull (the herd bull) gets very vocal at this time as he courts here & tries to keep her close, he does this through specific bugling & chuckling, this is what draws these satellites to these herds with hot cows, they don't get emails! (grin) They listen for this sound sequence that can be heard at long distances & it draws them their way. -- You will most likely draw bulls in over the cows, bulls can come storming in or as quiet as a church mouse! They want to be invited to this party!

You want to up your close encounters this year more than ever before then you need to check this DVD out! Paul II & I have called in & killed a ton of bulls with these methods.

Yes & no! (grin) The 1st one out is the Advertising Sequence & The Breeding Sequence, this DVD will also come with an MP3 Disc so ones can download it onto their PC & then on to their players or Iphones! This way once you watch it you may want to just listen to it so you can get the sounds down pat! -- Nice thing about both sequences is the sounds used are nothing most of us don't already use! It's the energy behind them & the when to use them that are important! I really feel you guys will enjoy this first one, I've watched it a doz times now in the editing & I do find myself chuckling through some of it, I think you guys will love our down to earth unrehearsed approach to calling & killing elk! Elk hunting should be both productive & fun!

There may be a time when we put all 3 new ones in a PKG but not to start with! Thanks!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments! The DVD as mentioned is now available, I think it's best to start a new thread with a short Video Clip of the Breeding Sequence! The 1 hour DVD can be had at elknut.com. Thanks.
