When I had my 18' Duckworth we fished it all the time. You should be fine, just keep an eye on the wind and waves.

Easy Pickens on our nooks today. 4 landed for 13 takedowns. Broke off a nice one at the boat crackered a few others. Coho were not to be found by us in the river today. Mostly on brined cut plugs, 1 on a Mulkey spinner. Fun times!

Yesterday we were 4/6. 1 nate silver released. 3 chinook in the box for 3 people. 15 pound URB, 2 SAB 25 and a 22. All on green label plug cut.

Tons of boats. We were off the water by 1130.

Madmax, is it a pump? I run a 19 foot jet with no problems other than massive boat chop yesterday.

Nice job
whats the size averaging ?

The size is ranging widely. Our biggest was 20+ and we busted off a bigger one than that. All 4 were different. You'll have a good chance at a big one as plenty of nice of sh are being caught.

We haven't done very well today. 1 small one in the box, 3 more crackered off, 1 wild coho and a few more takedowns. Overall slower than Saturday.

Fished B10 all weekend. Far from a slam dunk but the clients had their chances. The afternoon trips were way, way rough...... The ocean is still retarded good. Which means the bulk is still coming.

Most of ours were cookie cutter 18's with a couple 25s to add excitement.

So this will be our first time fishing this, we will be fishing Aug. 21, 22 and 23 and are staying at eagles nest in Ilwaco. I have a couple questions, we have a 22' Hewescraft OP HT, can we launch at Chinook it will be a 0' tide at 5am? if it gets rough is it that much farther if we launch in Ilwaco instead of Chinook. Everything else I think I have a pretty good idea, being that it will be low slack when we start the day I'm thinking we should start low in the river and fish up river with the tide and be at or around the bridge at high slack? Thank guys.

Do you have a GPS/ chartplotter on your boat? If so than you should be fine to launch out of Chinook. The channel from the marina was clear on my fishfinder and we had no trouble getting in and out of the Chinook launch. The channel is also marked well but you need to follow it well out into the river. No short cutting the last few hundred yards due to the sand flats all around. There will also be plenty of boats to follow out! Good luck! Have fun! I'll be back down the 23/24.

The channels are marked plenty good for you.  Just remember the Right return red rule and you'll be fine.  Mfowl is spot on about not cutting across early.  Good luck and keep your tip up...
