« on: August 18, 2014, 11:03:31 AM »
Newer too archery elk only did it last year for 3 days over east in Nile / bumping along with the rest of WA state 😂 anyways went over this weekend to poke around try and get an idea of where to go in a few weeks I was above 5000ft and wasn't sure why the hell elk do in summer months being newer to hunting them . So was just a shot in the dark . But got lucky took a day to get on em tons of sign and even bear sign but finally set my vortexs on some elk was a fun weekend !! Counting down the days until I can chase em :)

Your right first pic is right above 5,000 and last few we're prob closer to 3,000 right off a creek bed

Thanks for the inspiration and elevation. I'm looking for new land and archery elk as well. Trying to zero in on likely spots in GMU's 346, 356, 364. Elevation, sun aspect, water, cover all mighty important. I'm out there this week. I'll let you know what elevation if I come across them.

Your not high enough, I just put in 71 miles on the PCT, at elevations between 5,000 and 6,500 feet, there at the top.
