got my dads elk hide hung up
« on: August 19, 2014, 03:13:15 PM »
My dad got this cow on the Centralia mine tag. He said he wanted to have the hide tanned so I skinned it for him and really took my time to make every thing symmetrical and no holes. well when he got it back from the taxidermist he said "there you go its yours, thanks for all the help with everything". (butchering skinning driving). I was more than blown away that he gave it to me. I love being able to look at it every day and being reminded of that day spent with him.

Very cool! Looks good on the wall! Always cool to have a reminder like that of a good hunt with your pops.

That's awesome. I got my bull hide from last year tanned but don't have a wall big enough to hang it on. Yours looks sweet!

I think all have to do that with my next cow.

What's some thing like that cost?
