Garmin rino 655t or 650?

Yesterday for my birthday I received a 655t, big surprise! Oh, and a generator.

I have used all the Rhino models except the 655t. I own 110s and a 650. there are 6-7 in my camp.
Most of the problems people have with them can be fixed with some setting adjustments.
I love mine except for the required recalibration feature. They are very nice units. And I have been able to solve most nav. issues others have had in my camp with a little training and setting adjustments.

If you get one do some geocaching with it you will be way ahead when hunting season comes back around.

We have had the Rhino's since the 120 and 130's were out. I still use the 530HCX, great radio. I bought my wife the 655. Last week a friend of mine brought a new 655 to camp. He could not figure it out. I had not played with one yet. In a few minutes I had it all programmed and was easy to use. They are great radios. Exceptional range. I shot an elk in Idaho. Called a buddy and told him I shot one. An hour later he walked out of the woods right to me. It was a wilderness area, he was over 2 miles away.

I have the 650, love it.  PM me with any questions.  I have the map chip, which I love.  You can also control how much power your radio uses to save on battery life.  I also bought the optional AA battery pack for emergency situations.

I have the 650T and it is a great unit.  If I was to buy it again I would not get all of the maps pre-loaded on the unit.  I would get the cheaper 600 that is the same with out the camera.  Then go and get the maps for $100 each for the states that you hunt with all of the landowner names.  I would get the smaller Oregon model also.  the one I have is awsome and the graphics are great but there is a lot of times that I leave it in the truck because of its very large and heavy size.  It is much bigger to carry in the field then you think it is.

FYI, today on Cabellas the 655t is $50 cheaper than the 650 at $449.

The great thing about these is you can locate your hunting partner.
It is much more important when you get older. You can find your partner and call 911.
