New at finding sheds

I'm new at shed huntn, plan on spending a lot if time in my this hunting season. Anyone have any tip on what to look for, what kind if area to look for ?

I don't have a lot of information for finding sheds but it sounds like you're wanting to do that while you're hunting.  If so, that's a bad idea in my book.  If you're concentrating on looking at the ground for sheds you're likely to miss seeing a deer (if that's what you're hunting) before he sees you and missing your opportunity to gun him down. :twocents:

You may 'stumble' on one once in a while hunting but that is a tough time to target them.  Seasonal growth, fall colors, bleach and critter consumption make them tough to find in the fall.

Best to start in the spring when they are fresh.  May get lucky in the fall but they wont be in as good of shape.  You'll find the most sheds where the animals spend most of their time so focus on feeding and bedding areas.
Take one new person out hunting every year.

   That's what I was thinkn. Iv found quite a few out hunting over the years, just wasn't sure if there was something specific I need to be looking for

I agree look for them still on an animal during the season. As for after the season what you see is what u get... Look carefully.
