DYI Bumper Kit review Jeep Cherokee

I bought the DYI kit from JCR off road. Like many on here i like to do some things myself. I have access to a welder grinder and hand tools which is about all you need for this kit. The price was attractive but also the chance to practice my welding skills since i don't get the opportunity much. BTW some one who is a poor welder just has to grind more.  They make DYI kits for all kinds of jeeps. I combined the bumper with a fender trim and moving the stock fender flairs up a couple of inches for my desire look. It has taken me a few nights after work but i also got to hang with my brother in the garage so i may not have been working as hard as i could have.

A buddy of mine manufactured his Xj's rear bumper into a air tank (accumulator) for airing up after trail running!

Can you build me one with a winch mount now?

 hollymaster They do make a DYI with a winch mount. But that is what my reciver hitch in the front is for.

Alchase I have a plan to take some 4x4 or 4x6 thick wall and turn it into a rear bumper/air tank. The rear plani have seen slides 2x4 thickwall INSIDE the unibody rear subframe to make a secure attachment and strenghten the frame a bunch. I think this was the best looking/costeffective DYI project i have done.

Ive thought about sliders but this is going to be more of a commuter/hunting rig than a wheeler. you cant see it in th epic but i have a roof rack that im working on. Mounted low using the original holes for the sliding foor rack bars. My Plans for the rig include another fender trim fold for the rear, rear airtank bumper, shovel/highlift holder on the roof rack, and blacking out those silver fender flairs and lower trim. It has a small 2in spacer lift in the front and blocks in the rear. I have heard that the mild lift, fender trimming will accomdate 32" pretty easy so I think i will go with 235/85R16 tires. I like pizza cutters on my rigs since that affect fuel economy most.
Im currently rocking Armstrong Norsman tires. (almost as old as I am, and the predessor to Dick Cepeck tires)

Ive had 2 chessies and both of them liked beer. My previouse Chessie liked to drink with me until we shared a bad Taquilla  experience. then he would bark and growl at you if you put anykind of bottle or can in front of him. 

This one likes beer but there is never any around for him. My brother don't drink (anymore) and my Gluton Free stuff is WAY to spendy to give to him... Chief isnt much of a whiskey fan...
