Anyone out fishing?
« on: March 01, 2007, 08:28:57 AM »
Anyone fishing? I live in Stevens County and am planning on trying my luck tomorrow above the Nine Mile Dam to see if anything is hungry. Below the dam it's real murky because of all the precipitation we have been getting.
Post your fishing results after you go out.
BTW we fish flies, gear and garden hackle :o...what ever works for a good day of fishing. :)
Oh, I forgot. Bow fishing for carp on Long Lake starts sometime this spring when the water is low. I also understand that flies on spring carp is compared to poor man's bone fishing. I haven't done either of these as of yet but plan on doing one or the other this spring.
2nd March. Stayed in the neighborhood and walked around for 3 1/2 hours with the dogs looking for sheds. Too darn cold to go at first this AM 16 degrees. I'll see what next week brings as I have to go the boating class tomorrow.

Fly fishing for carp is gaining popularity here in Moses Lake as well which could very well be considered the carp capital of Wa...not only  in the lake but every other mud hole in grant co...The bow fishing tourney generally takes 10000 lbs of carp out of the lake each yr which doesnt include the guys doing it for fun off and on during the spring...
