Will coyote hunting effect deer hunting?

Normally I would think coyote hunting would help deer hunting but now I am unsure. I have a dream spot for deer and I don't want to mess it up. I am the only one who hunts this area and have only used archery. There is a lake near by that gets duck hunted pretty hard so I think the deer might be used to the gunshots. I could hear people blasting away during late archery season. I am pretty sure these deer have never seen a gun/rifle deer hunter. It is a small area that I can hunt (about 5 acres) next to a farm and a bunch of wooded private property. I am pretty sure I could pull a coyote or 2 off this property. So what you do you guys/gals think? Will it bother the deer if I go blast a couple of coyotes? I don't have the option to travel too far right now because I don't trust my vehicle. We have a baby on the way so I am driving a junker vehicle until I know that I can afford a new one. Thanks!

Call in them coyotes and blast away. Animals do not get out of an area over a gun shot. good luck

I wouldn't hunt yotes just before or during deer season in your spot, but I agree with the above. It is a long time till deer season and you just might save a fawn or two.

Well, if that theory is true, then I would think that any area within 50 miles of Gringo's farm would be SWARMING with deer....

All the comments here are "on the money" in my opinion, I would shoot a few yotes if at all possible and help your future deer hunting.
Just let it be as quiet as possible for several weeks before deer season and do not spread your scent all over the place scouting deer just before season opens unless the property owner already is in the area a lot, then it probably wouldn't matter as much.

I say study it for a year. Go out and shoot the crap out of the dawgs right now...then hunt it during the fall for deer. See how it goes....

Thanks for the replies. I figured it couldn't hurt. It's tuff to go anywhere too far right now and I am antsy to be in the woods. I'll probably give it a whirl in the next week or 2.

I agree with everyone too. It's not the gunshots I would worry about, but your human presence (ie scent, being seen, bumping deer out of their beds, etc.)
