What a Salmon season
« on: September 07, 2014, 02:27:58 PM »
This year has been a year for the books it has been great fishing all summer. We have made 45 trips out and limited 43 fishing the same place for the last month we had our limit this morning by 8;30 with one 27 pound king they are doing real well offshore in the 100 to 150 foot range off the casino. we run up to 50 feet of water off the casino and troll back toward home and its worked pretty well for us. Tuna slowed down when the cold water moved in but charters hope it will pick back up soon. Boats going down the road to the willipa in a steady stream sounds like good fishing there.

Del, I was going to try to make it down there for one more salmon trip, but that was stopped because Becky has to go in to the hospital on the 23rd for a Catheter Ablation to treat her Supraventricular Tachycardia ( heart thing). She'll do anything to mess up our salmon fishing  :bash:  Plus I got a call today that one of my guys from work has a stroke Saturday, and is in the hospital. Looks like my Westport trips are done for this year  :'(  but look out next year. I'm going to buy a year long launch pass  so we'll be down there more

Thanks for the Tuna help forks we had fun. Sorry to hear about Beckey Tony hope things go well and there is always next year. They have caught some fish in the boat basin so I need to get my camp chair ready to fish off the dock. Hope Pete has some elk pictures he is going back out Thursday. Had a great time with Dale from Bearpaw he is a fun guy to be around hope he has a great season we sure had fun.
