stock work on rifle
« on: September 12, 2014, 09:26:31 PM »
hi I need help...live in Lacey area but will travel..in need of a good gunsmith that works on wood stocks..have one built by my Dad now deceased..it is an  old military Springfield..the story behind it is he used to buy rifles then restock them from Herter's and dress them down put sights on them and raffle them off...then buy enough for parts for a second one and put rest aside till he had enough to make a custom 06...

ok this is one of the ones he raffled off...I aquired it and even thought it is right handed and I am a lefty I want it nice again..whoever put the sling studs on it late botched the job..I want studs in case I carry it..top one off center and has to be filled and new hole and on and on..

so any suggestions would be appreciated..thanks in advance..
