Propeller fell off outboard!
« on: September 27, 2014, 10:59:05 PM »
So I have a sailboat that has a 10 horse 4 stroke CDI  100 motor but very little experience with changing these. I've tried googling to find the right propeller kit but haven't had much sucess. Anyone with knowledge of motors know if they need to be a specific brand or type?

Also the other problem with the motor is the shifter that goes from forward to neutral to reverse sucks and I have to keep fluttering the throttle to keep the engine going. Anyone have any ideas or feel like working on it for money at the Everett Marina?

Call the Prop Shop. They are up in Mukilteo off Mukilteo Speedway. If they don't have it in stock they can get it.

 :yeah:

I've had them rebuild some for me, they did a good job.

As far as your running problem, you might have to give a better description of what is happening for someone to help diagnose it.  From my experiences, most engine running problems stem from the carbuerator or fuel/fuel line issues.
