The Nock Point custom strings?
« on: September 15, 2014, 07:26:45 AM »
Hi All-

My Bowtech bow  needs new strings and I'm trying to decide between buying factory replacements or taking it to The Nock Point for custom ones.  I'd appreciate any input!

thanks

I have never used Nock points strings but I haven't heard anything bad about them.  I don't think you can go wrong with buying a set of winner's choice strings.

Knock point people have been awesome since day one!
They only try to help, not try to rob you... Great advice, great customer service keeps me driving from Sultan!
2 thumbs up for these folks

I had nock point custom strings put on my last bow. It was not an awesome bow but they strings were great. No issues. I agree, I always have had great service from the guys there.

If i was you and wanted custom strings id check out Rock Creek Archery Denton makes the best (IMO) custom bow strings he has several doz color combo to choose from not to mention state of the art string making jigs that pre-stretch strings to something like 300lbs so you don't get any string stretch after installation of the strings and cables and need further adjustments or timing especially if you shoot a higher poundage bow I've found factory strings stretch after install and couple hundred arrows the bow needs to be re-tweaked to get back in time, does the knock point even make there own strings ??  they use to sub strings out to someone who made them for them but that was several years ago so i don't know there current situation, but since using Denton's custom strings i find my bows are rock solid and pretty much set for the year if not 2 depending on how much you shoot, you can even send Denton your bow via mail and he'll set it up and send it back to you ready to rock and roll, not to mention he is a factory bow tech dealer!!!   360-284-2314  if you want the best strings out on the market (IMO) call Denton you wont be disappointed

Riverside Archery makes custom string on site. I think they are normally a week's turnaround.

Nock point is a great shop and you cant go wrong with either IMO.

I've had 7 bows with custom strings from nock point. I wouldn't hesitate to go through them ever for strings. Both compound and recurve

I've always shot winners choice strings. My next set will most likely be a set of G Strings though. Even Winners Choice strings stretch a tad bit on my 84lb bow. I'd be amazed to find strings that don't.
