Sorry for the loss of your hunting buddy Dale.  I have lost a couple that still sting.  Were you able to get any pups off of him?  Hunting with any of his sons or daughters?

One time we lost Tuck and two other dogs for 3 days in big country, one of the guys finally found them, they were still treed on a lion. One dog was bedded down, Tuck and the 3rd dog were still treeing.

Sorry for the loss.  This shows the true grit of these hounds, doing what they loved to do.

That's no fun, feel for ya. We lost our two veteran dogs two years ago due to old age. I'm hopen our rebuilding year is over

There are dogs then there are those so very special dogs that steal a part of our heart and are never forgotten. Sorry to hear Dale I always read the Rainbow Bridge Poem about dogs and it seems to make me feel better hoping he is not hurting anymore and you did the right thing for him. Memories last a life time.
