What's up with these signs?
« on: September 20, 2014, 09:11:07 AM »

Went to unit 346 to pull my trail camera and I notice these new signs all over the place.

I think its a sign announcing there is a wildlife area behind it, just a guess.   :chuckle:

You mean the "Funding provided by...." part?

A quick Google search...

It means that WDFW now has control of that land so it will soon be occupied by wolves that they will refuse to acknowledge and all other game will be poorly managed from this point forward.

That makes sense because I believe it used to be owned by plum creek and I thought I read somewhere that the state was able to purchase it from them.

This is correct. I spoke to Plum Creek on Thursday. They've sold all their parcels in the Manastash to the WDFW except for one up near Quartz and that one will change ownership around the end of December this year. Gonna start seeing more signs soon now that the deals have been finalized.
