Taking the boy deer hunting!!!!
« on: September 24, 2014, 11:59:34 AM »
Well, was lucky enough to get my son his hunters safety class in this weekend, so now I get to take him out looking for his first deer. Going to have to stay on the wet side, as I didn't get time to scout at all this year. Was hoping to get him over to Eastern Washington so he could get a doe. Oh well, will be fun just getting him out anyway. He is getting a much earlier start at hunting than I am only being 11;) Cant wait to spend the time out with him;);)

Good on ya getting him out!     Git 'em hooked at an early age, I say.  Ah the memories of getting my son out with me and what a difference the whole hunting experience has made with him growning up.  He's 33 now and he still says his fondest memories growing up was deer camp with dad.

Good luck!!

Thats great!! Nice to see others getting their kids out at the same age. My mom is a little freaked out about him turning into a "killer" ;);) Only thing I wish I would have done different is taken him scouting over in Eastern WA, so he had a little better chance of at least seeing a few more deer. Something to strive for next year!!
