Stainless barrel
« on: September 25, 2014, 09:15:20 PM »
About ready to head out for my Margaret muzzleloader bull tag. I have a Knight Bighorn with the matte stainless barrel. Any thoughts on whether I should wrap that with camo tape?

You will be fine without wrapping it.  Gonna be a great time.  Good luck in there.

I agree with the others. As long as you aren't waving it around with the sun shining off it while trying to call in a bull, you'll be fine  Good luck on your hunt!

My friend and I have matte stainless .300's.  a few years ago on a moose hunt in Canada our guide pointed out to me how much they show in the sun, my buddy was coming down a hill and he said look.  It looked like a light saber walking down the hill. I'm sure most of the time it's not noticed, but I started worring about that once in a while time that my animal of a lifetime might see the barrel before I see him.  I have wrapped my barrel in camo tape ever since that hunt, can't tell you if it makes a difference but it makes me feel better.  Very cheap as well, doesn't hurt.  Best of luck on your hunt!
