1. I like Elk
2. Spot and Stalk
3. Spot and Stalk, then shoot him in the heart.

Good Luck!

Plan to put up three ground blinds. One for a handicap hunter. I sit in the blinds till about 11 am than decide to still hunt to another blind or go back to camp for lunch. I stalk the last 2 hours of the day.

My plan is use all the trick plays in my playbook to notch tags for my partner and myself. Go with your gut. If it's anything like last year the first two days are the most important. Try and locate him the night before, then be down wind of him first thing. Opening day of elk! Stay positive and put in work. Keep your powder dry and the wind in you're face.

Like others have said, whatever the situation calls for. I'm hunting for cows/spikes this year so I'm not concerned with bull tactics. If I hear one bugle I'll close the distance to see if I can pluck one of his cows from under him. Other than that, just get out there and hunt! Good Luck!

I'm going to get up, take a shower, make breakfast, make lunch, load up my gear, drive to undisclosed location, find out that said undisclosed location has hunters already there, get out of truck and walk in to deep dark hole that no one else will and kill a monster. That's the plan!

Set up on the escape route from the clearcut that had 10 rigs in it last year.
