i guess you could call this "small" game
« on: September 26, 2014, 04:50:36 PM »
anyone know of a good taxi in the south sound ? maybe i'll just skin him out and hang him on a board so all his kin will know what happens if they trespass.  been after this guy for weeks and he finally made the mistake of showing himself while i was home.  3" of #4 steel took him down-ground is still smoking.  neighbors are still peeking out from behind their shades wondering what just happened.

No trapping laws broken either, so the internet police won't scold you. I'd get him tanned out and hang him from your rearview.............but that's just me.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Awesome. That's the only way I've been able to get them. I know my 12 gauge turkey gun with 3-1/2" of doom is really hard on the yard. Thought I was going to go get the tractor to fix the holes after the last grudge match with a Boone & Crocket mole. I used to live next to a place where the brush pickers sold their salal. I had lots of mole problems there and when I would come running out of the front door racking a shell in my pump shotgun those brush pickers may not have all spoke English but they all understood the universal language of that shell racking in and scattered like crazy. The mole hunting there was always entertaining.

crazy how soft their coats are. a guy in our deer camp has 4-6 a year tanned out. he is collecting them for a jacket. I think his wife must think he is nuts :chuckle:

I had an aunt who was a big time quilter seamstress etc. She made quite a few fur coats and I believe she had a mole fur coat that she had made so it has been done. I would hate to hazard a guess how many moles it would take.
