Winter Crabbing Opens October 1st

Most areas of Puget Sound reopen Oct. 1 for late-season crab fishing
Crabbing will not reopen at this time in marine areas 10 (Seattle/Bremerton Area) and 11 (Tacoma-Vashon Island).

I've never done the later season crabbing.  Is it usually as good as in the summer?   Or, are there fewer crab but bigger crab?

It has been just the same for me. We go out of Camano island.

The guys I crab with and I feel it's better in the fall/ winter in the south sound.
