Pre-season fouling shot question

My first shot is always off compared to the rest. So I shoot a fouling shot before actually shooting. The question is, how long before season can I do that? am i safe to fire a shot a couple days before hand? or is that too long to let it sit dirty? If I hunt for a week, can a safely go day to day with the same load and fouling shot without problems? Any suggestions or advice?

Just clean the oil out of your barrel with alcohol, or Windex, etc. there is no need for a fouling shot.

a couple Alcohol patches down the bore, fire a few caps and load. Try that as an experiment and see if you can settle that first shot ordeal.

How fare off?  My Renegade was 6 high and 3 left from a clean bore and right where it should have been every shot after at 50 last weekend.  Also, GP 385gr over 70gr 3f 777.

Not that far, I am about 3 high and 3 right from a clean bore
