Schafer State park East Satsop for salmon?
« on: October 02, 2014, 11:48:40 AM »
We'll be in the area on Saturday and I wanted to plunk lines in the water and see if we can hook some silvers.  Anyone have any info on the area?  How busy is it with fishermen?

the water will be super low up there, and most of the people in that area will probably be snagging unfortunately.  it can get pretty crowded.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

There's a good hole just below Schafer where Satsop and decker meet. Never fished it for silvers though. A good friend of mine fished the Satsop last weekend in a drift boat and limited in about 45 minutes fishing jigs.

Had a dad on my soccer team in that same hole limit in about an hour on Monday.  He said by Wednesday, there were no fish left.
