I just got back from muzzle - Pomeroy. Actually a little south of Pomeroy. It was a excellent year. I have hunted it for about 10 years.  There will be a lot of people pushing the deer. If I were you, I would hunker down in your spot and wait.

That sounds like a good plan!

Elk burger, be careful, there are Monster Y bucks there. You will need good glasses. As someone said, they will run canyon to canyon. It can be a war zone, depending where your at. I hunt private land and when I used to modern, it was wild. I said earlier that I have hunted there for 10 years. Started thinking, more like 16 years. My son got hi 1st deer at 10.  I wish your daughter luck

Thanks for the info James. Planning on only hunting the private access I've secured. I was told by 3 different land owners that I should be the only one with permission. I hope I dont have to confront any trespassers. :bash:

Garfield county is one of the worst for trespassing.  We own land there and have the issue all the time.
A bad day out hunting is better than a good day at work!
