two days on high
« on: October 20, 2014, 09:19:03 PM »
Just spent the last two days between 5500 and 6500 get with my boy hunting black tails . Found two small meadows about 1 acre with hundreds of scat piles some of this sign was ginger around then my wrist put in 16 miles in the steepest terrain I have ever hunted . Saw 1 do and 1 buck going away. The approaches into the areas that had the super heavy sign are impossible to get into quietly . Too dangerous to get into in the dark. Any ideas on putting eyes on this giant buck his hoof print is just over 4 inches.? What a fun time though we we slid down one meadow over a thousand yard elevation drop from one tree or brush pile to the other . Thought we might get hurt but we were giggling like school girls. Still haven't got him his first deer but always having a great time trying.
