My 2014 Blacktail
« on: November 01, 2014, 10:32:54 PM »
Last saturday night My dad and I hunted all morning and didn't see anything at all. It was pouring and we were freezing and had to move. We ended up making our way to this clear cut that we have never really hunted before. Right off the bat I saw a doe bedded down below me. I watched it till about 45 minuets before dark and it went back into the timber. So my dad and I walked up the road and came around the corner and it was standing about 30 yards away quartering away from me I shot hit it behind the back rib and it went into the vitals and dropped. This was the night of the big rain, and wind storm. We were dodging tree limbs the hole way down the mountain.

Sticking with it is how you get it done! Nice job, if you can hunt blacktails in that weather, you can hunt almost anything. Good job . Be sure to thank your Dad.
