Goose Hunting camo and gear help
« on: September 09, 2007, 10:12:02 AM »
Our family has scheduled a goose hunt for later this fall out of Moses Lake, WA. We have hired a guide service that will meet us and provide us with everything we need for the day in way of property to hunt, blinds, decoys, and calling etc. There will be five in our party including Grandpa, sons & grandsons. We're primarily big game hunters although we've grown up duck hunting on local property. We are well equipped with 3" magnum 12 ga. shotguns, but........

We are looking for suggestions and recommendations on camo patterns, types of clothing, Ammo to consider, footware, or anything that you expert goose hunters can suggest. Any advise would be greatly appreciated! Looking forward to any and all replies!

Camo patterns I like the Shadow Grass, but the new duck blind camo pattern looks pretty cool too. I'm all about the "BB" shot size. Winchester works pretty darn good. If you want somethig better that'll knock em' down dead 80% or more of the time try "Dead coyote" its expensive as hell, but works amazing! Footwear rocky makes some fine boots.

Ask your guide service for what they recommend. They will know best for their specific hunt.
