My 2013 Mule Deer
« on: November 03, 2014, 12:15:02 PM »
Big shout out to Fidalgo Taxidermy, and Boss.300WinMag for getting me the pictures!  I'm stationed in Hawaii, and on deployment now.  Won't be able to pick him up for another year and a half, but I have the memory of the hunt, and these pics until then!

Would love to see the buck to left of mine in the pics!

Travis,

Hey brother, awesome buck!!! Once you get back from your deployment give me a call so we can go boar hunting. If you are looking at getting your mount here in Hawaii let me know. I have had all my mounts shipped here in wooden crates. It is not as expensive as you think, the hard part is having someone that will build you a crate and drop it off in Tacoma at the vessel. I have had three crates shipped here. My most recent crate was for four animals and cost me just over $200. With the one animal it should be cheaper. Just let me know.....most importantly....stay safe!!!!

Hey Brother nice buck. Was that taken on a special permit?

Wow, holy wide rack batman, that is a stud.  Congrats.

C bond, he went over 30" before drying, will have to measure again some day...I've never had an animal measured, so I don't know how much they shrink, but he made book with some to spare green...
Ranger, sounds good!  I would love to hook up, timing has just been bad.  You know how it goes.  I'll be home in Feb.  sounds like you got your promotion and staying?
Skyval, no special permit, diy, public land, general rifle season.  Just right place, right time.

I did make the promotion list so I was deleted from my assignment to Alaska and will now be here till June 2015. I will then head home on leave and report to the academy in Texas....

You're welcome Weazle.

Between you and Craig's bucks I haven't seen bigger ones in there for the last two seasons.

He better sleep with one eye open next year to keep me from switching his ammo out for dummy loads.  :yike:
