Had a great time again just like last year, a big thanks to the organizers for putting this event together.
It was great seeing the turn out of boats to take our active duty and veterans out for a day of fishing and relaxing. We put our service member on the fish right away and he did the rest, managed to get one in the boat 20 mins after dropping the rigs and another after a few hours of missed opportunities, and spit hooks.

Kept in contact with some other boats thru the radio and via text, which helped out everybody.

Looking forward to next year...

To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to participate in this year's event. My partner and I were lucky enough to meet Wayne and get on his boat TEXJOY. Caught 2 fish and lost a couple more. Thank you to all who helped bring this incredible event to life. It was a great day and I don't know how I could ever repay Wayne, his crew and all of the other volunteers. It brings a tear to my eye knowing we have the support of the outsdoorsman. Thank you

This is a heads up to the folks that participated in the 2014 event that work for Boeing. Salmon For Soldiers is now a recognized organization at Boeing for a gift match. Please contact me for information or go to the My Boeing site and fill out the gift matching form.

I am now the 2015 Salmon For Soldiers Event Coordinator. As we get more info about the 2015 event I will be posting it. Right now I believe the date set for September 26th 2015

Thanks for all you guys have done to help   :)

Jim
