I will say this, (other than he is pushing his luck with them) that I agree about his quote near the end, "shall I die in a nursing home wearing a diaper or work in an office till I am 70?". Cant blame him for that logic...It will be too bad when one of these bears decides its his territory now, not a humans.

Not Animal Planet as I do not have that channel. I am pretty sure it was 60 Minutes.

It was on 60 minutes this summer.  Very interesting show.  The guy was a knucklehead but not quite as crazy as Timothy Treadwell.  I still think he was nuts but it was a pretty neat show.

The more I thought about it, I realized that it would have aired more then once on Discovery.

I watched the same show on sixty minutes earlier this year.  It was about a man that is an ex school teacher who used to hunt bears, then he gave it up  bought a cabin out in BFE and spends months out there every year living and learning with the bears.  He has been warned about feeding the bears and other illegal actions that he should not be doing.  I also remember that there were some certain guestions that he would not answer.  It was a very interesting show.  In fact one of the big black bears actually came into his cabin while he was there and he made it leave.  The guy has some huge balls and little brain I suppose.  It would be interesting to visit him at his cabin and experience the interaction the the bears.  Wanna make a trip up there billy!!!! :chuckle:
