Are you asking about shotguns or shotshells? I hunt with a Browning 28ga for quail and grouse and Beretta 12ga for everything else. As far as shells, I've had good results with Remington Express and Fiocchi golden pheasant. For nontoxic upland, I like Winchester Super x steel shot.

I like the big ones with the red heads and the white ring around the neck but the little brownish ones are good too!  :chuckle:

I hunt scatter creek so it is non toxic for me. I am using rem 870 express with blackcloud #2, blindside #2 and some nitorsteel #2. I am thinking of trying some hevi metal in #5 or #6 if cabelas ever gets some in as well as the prairie storm in steel. I don't have a dog YET but correcting that next year when i get settled into my new place. found a GWP breeder in oregon that is not charging an arm and a leg for a dog, $450 was the last price i saw.
