Grizzly skull

Did an experiment with this one, set it in a bucket of cold water with a bit of dish soap and left it there. For a year. Didn't open the lid just let it sit and sit. When I removed it it was pretty easy from that point on. Drained the goop gathered the teeth and sat with a knife and did some picking and poking. For the most part it was a done deal. Haven't put any other work into the skull other than gluing the jaw back together and getting the teeth set. My kid smacked this one in the jaw but it kinda looks cool I think

the chemicals aren't that expensive, it looks like you will probably get more grizzly's, I'd try the chemicals or beetle's next time.  I will prob never get a chance to kill a grizzly so if it was me, I would beetle it for sure.

Very unique Skull.  Did you shoot it in the face?  That is one animal I have always wanted to hunt.  Maybe one of these days before I get to old.

My kid did yes. Well in the jaw. Then in the shoulder. And then in the shoulder again.
I had a rug made for his '14 Christmas present. Here it is on his wall.



D&C Expeditor's in Anchorage does excellent work on bears if anyone is looking for an expert on grizzly/brown bears.
This bear measures 7 ft. square, not a large one but good sized for an Arctic Grizzly.
So my kid has a cool keepsake skull and a nice rug to hang on his wall.
