Sons first deer. My late buck.
« on: November 23, 2014, 06:40:09 PM »
My son passed hunters ed this year and was able to get a nice fat doe this weekend. His very first deer. He could not be happier. Great shot about 140 yards with his .243 did the trick. Big thanks for the last minute help we got from people from this site.

Was looking for a bigger buck but had a tough late hunt with no snow. Driving around at 7,000+ feet with less then 2" of snow does not help move the bucks out of the high country. Passed a easy shot on a  25" 3X4 a couple hours into opening morning. Still had a great time and met some very nice and helpful people. Maybe next time a big boy will show up.
