Building a grouse getter

I bought this CVA Hawken kit off an auction site last week and hopefully it should be on its way at the end of the week. One thing that blew my mind was the fact that its a NIB kit with a 12 gauge shotgun barrel! I am going to add the barrel to my Hawken that I already have, and then build up the .50cal barrel and stock for a fellow that missed out on the last Hawken I built up and sold.
This 12g should make one heck of a fun shotgun come grouse season this september!

Very cool! I want a BP shotgun so bad to go after turkeys! Have fun n good luck! I have a CVA .54 cal sidelock now, wondering if they sell shotgun barrels for it and possible to put it on and use?

Nice. I worked at a sporting goods store 25 years ago & they were blowing out CVA kits cheap. Still kicking myself, wishing I'd bought one. I'd love to see it when you're finished.
