B2 repair

The neck seam on one of our Bigfoot B2 decoys cracked.  Likely a result of rough handling.
I tried Super Glue, but the seam popped when I attempted to screw it back onto the body.

Thought I might try ABS pipe glue next unless someone else has experience with this issue and has a recommendation.

I used some 2 part Epoxy from HD to fix a Goose Shell that I pressed on too hard and cracked near the stake. Seemed to work well so far.

They make a two part epoxy for plastic, the handle on our microwave broke and we were going to replace it in a year with a kitchen remodel so I just glued it.  It worked fine.

There is a glue made to repair shoes that sticks to everything and stays flexible. Freesole, I buy it from the shoe repair shop in Spokane Valley. Very strong and hard to remove even with a knife.

Got some JB weld laying around, guess I just think of that for metal.
Seeing how I have it, I'll give it a shot.

It is awesome on plastic. Have repaired many plastic things with it. If its smooth, roughen the edges/surfaces a bit

JB weld was a bust, literally.
Got the head on ok, but during transport to a hunt, the seam popped again.
With a good amount of the gray stuff inside the neck, I won't be able to effect another repair, so it will have to do as is.  It still stays on the body in the field but will have to keep track of it so we dont lose it.  May try to order a new one if they are available.

Until then you should try to call them and find out what material they are molding them out of.  Would go a long way in finding the right glue.  When in doubt...weld it!

No problem man, it was worth a shot.  I cleaned it with keytone after roughing it up and thought I had a decent fix.  Ya know, I have no idea how old ithe JB weld was as it has been laying about for at least several years.  Having been previously opened it may not have been any good.

cut your way in, weld your way out.
beat it to fit, paint it to match.

Loctite make some good stuff, may try this next time.
