Crispi's a preferred vendor, I imagine.

Crispi are they're own brand. Not sure if their is affiliation with Lowa or not. But I can tell you I have not been as excited over boots in awhile. After serious disappointment with kenetrek, I had narrowed my search down to the Tibet or crispi. Went with Crispi because of availability and ability to size on-site. Could not be happier, put these through hell this late season and they just keep getting better. Still want to try out the Tibet's, and that's a great deal.

Care to share how the Crispi is so much better than the Kenetrek?

Not really. As based on reviews they should have been a fairly even match. At this point I am operating under the assumption that the store I purchased from had just received a bad batch. Resulting in my receiving a couple pairs of bad apples. The first pair was performing pretty well initially. But leaked significantly after only a couple hours in snow and rain. After exchanging them, the second pair the heel seams blew out on a routine shed trip. Nothing crazy, decent sidehilling and moderate pack weight.  The fit was good for me but not great, obviously that is going to vary user to user. I can only assume my experience was an anomaly as many many users love them. But it left enough of a sour taste to have me looking elsewhere. The Crispi for me has a better fit. That alone is enough for me. But absence of the other issues is obviously the most important factor.

:sry: I wasn't trying to start a debate just thought it was kinda crazy for camofire to have that in the description of the Lowa's they were selling at the time. If you want to sell Lowa faster don't put in the description Crispi is a better boot :bash: I'm sure it was someone at camofire being a SA  :dunno:
