I've seen guy #1 before, can't place him though.

Thats the first thing that came to my mind also.
Was he the host of a TV show? Trophy something or other?

I could possibly see people that didn't do their research maybe thinking non posted and non fenced unimproved land was public. An active orchard no way, those guys are blatantly trespassing and they know it. I know he said he has it posted, but he should have no reason to  "have it posted properly or gated off", It's an active fricking orchard!

Yeah it is very bold to hunt an active orchard the pickers tuck away in between the rows it would be hard to know you have a safe shooting lane. I have access to some orchards and the manager tells me where the pickers are and I hunt around the areas they are not in.

Pretty sure we have the last group of guys identified, not the car yet though, which should be the easy one since you can see the plate clear as day. :chuckle:

Problem with vehicles is the owner in this state is not responsible for the vehicle, so you have to prove who is driving.

The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

That's interesting because when you get a traffic light ticket in the mail they say the opposite. The judge literally told everyone who used that excuse that unless the vehicle was stolen (and on record) then it is the owner's responsibility and the proof lays on the owner to declare who was driving. I guess because a traffic offense is different than criminal but still you'd think they would have some similarities when it comes to ownership.. too bad.

Ummm no.  That may have happened to you and I'm sorry it did but the burden is on the issuing authority to establish who was driving not on the owner to prove they weren't, it's a innocent until proven guilty thing and all they have is a picture of your car (provided a face can't be identified via closer examination of the photograph).

You are not legally obligated to disclose who was driving, they ask you to on the back of the affidavit but you don't have to disclose anything if you choose not to.  You are not required  to establish someone else's guilt in order to establish your own innocence.

Again, why I said probably a difference between that traffic violation and criminal. Nothing happened to me and it wasn't an issue when I was there, however that is what the judge said to everyone using that excuse "it wasn't me" ( for a red light ticket ). They either had to declare WHO was driving or they kept the ticket  :dunno:. Not trying to thread jack just noting an interesting observation. The reasoning was "it's your vehicle, you know who you let drive it, unless it was stolen".

Once ticketed, you are guilty until you go to court and prove your innocence.
